All your devices appear under your user profile and in the Settings menu.

Change Device Name and Photo
You can personalize your device by updating its name and profile picture:
- Tap Show Profile to edit the Account Profile (seen in the app) and the Xplora GoPlay Profile (used on the Activity platform).
- Select the profile you want to update.
- Tap the pencil icon next to the photo to upload a new image or edit the name.
Update Your Child’s Phone Number
To change the phone number linked to your child’s device:
- In Device Settings, tap Device Phone Number.
- Enter the new number in the Update Phone Number section.
- Select the country code first.
- Then enter the phone number without leading zeros, spaces, or dashes.
💡 The phone number field cannot be edited directly — make sure to use the Update phone number section.
Checking Device Information
Scroll down to Device Information to view key details such as the IMEI number, model, and QR code.
❗ The IMEI number and other device data are sensitive. Keep this information secure and avoid sharing it.
Whitelist Contacts
Control who can contact your child by managing the Whitelist Contacts setting:
When ON: Only contacts you've approved will be able to reach your child.
When OFF: Contacts outside the whitelist may also contact your child.
💡 For maximum safety, keep this toggle ON.
Factory Reset the Device
A factory reset erases all data and restores the device to its original settings.
If needed, follow the Factory Reset Instructions to complete the process.
Remote Shutdown (Xplora Watches Only)
This feature allows you to remotely restart or power off the watch. The command will go through as long as the device has an active internet connection.
Other Settings
If you don’t see a particular setting in the app, it may need to be adjusted directly on the device. Visit the Product section on our website for detailed instructions.
Allow App Permissions on Your Smartphone
To get the best performance from the Xplora app, make sure all necessary permissions are enabled on your phone:
📷 Camera – for device activation and photo uploads
🎤 Microphone – to send voice messages
🔔 Notifications – to stay informed about important updates
👤 Face ID / Fingerprint – for faster and more secure login
You can manage these in your phone’s settings under: Settings > Apps > Xplora > Permissions
💡 For real-time updates, allow the app to run and refresh in the background — this helps ensure you receive notifications even when you're not using the app.
