How can I switch to a new Xplora watch with my subscription?

Switching your old subscription to a new watch is easy! Follow this simple guide to get your new Xplora watch up and running with your existing subscription in no time.

Factory reset the old watch (if you haven’t done so already)

Before adding your new Xplora watch, make sure to remove the old one from your account::

  • Open the Xplora app and find your old watch in the list of connected devices.
  • Follow the steps listed in this article to reset it.
    Tip: Ensure that the second guardian has also removed the old watch from their app, so the reset can be fully completed.

Already have a subscription and active SIM-card?

  • Take the old SIM-card and insert it into your new Xplora watch.
  • Activate your new watch. Visit our product section for activation instructions.
    Your new watch is now linked to your existing subscription and ready to use!

If you don’t have the old SIM-card but received a new one with your new watch

  • Send us the phone number of your current subscription and the ICC number of the new SIM-card. The ICC is a 20-digit number found on the new SIM-card packaging.
    With this info, we can link the new SIM to your current subscription.

If you don’t have a new SIM-card yet

Contact our Customer Support, and we’ll send you the right link to order a replacement SIM-card. Once the SIM-card arrives, we’ll help you set up a subscription for your new watch.
