All your devices are displayed under your User profile and in the Settings menu.

Change Device name and photo
You can personalise your device by updating the name and profile picture:
- Tap on Show Profile to edit both the Account profile (which appears in the app) and the Xplora GoPlay profile (used on the Activity platform).
- Click on the profile you want to update.
- Tap the pencil icon next to the photo field to upload a new profile picture or type in the name.
Update your child’s phone number
To update the phone number linked to your child’s device:
- In Device Settings, find the Device Phone Number option.
- Tap on Device Phone Number.
- Enter the new number in the Update Phone Number section. Choose the country code first, then enter the phone number without leading zeros, spaces, or dashes.
💡 The phone number field cannot be directly edited; make sure to update it in the Update Phone Number section.
Check Device information
Scroll down to Device Information to view key device details like the IMEI number, model, and QR code.
❗The IMEI number and other device details are sensitive information. For your privacy and security, keep this information safe and avoid sharing it with others.
Whitelist Contacts
You can control which contacts are allowed to reach your child by adjusting the Whitelist Contacts setting:
- When the toggle is ON: Only contacts you’ve added to the whitelist will be able to communicate with your child.
- When the toggle is OFF: Contacts outside of the whitelist can contact your child.
💡 For the most secure experience, keep the toggle set to ON.
Factory reset the device
This process will remove all data and restore the device to its original settings.
If you need to reset the device to factory settings, refer to our Factory Reset Instructions.
Remote Shutdown (Xplora watches)
This feature allows you to remotely restart or shut down the watch. The command will be successfully sent as long as the watch has an active network connection.

Allow App permissions on your smartphone
To make sure everything works as it should and to get the most out of the Xplora app, make sure all necessary permissions are enabled on your phone. This includes access to:
📷 Camera – for activating the device and adding photos
🎤 Microphone – for sending voice messages
🔔 Notifications – to stay updated on important alerts
👤 Face ID / Fingerprint – for quicker and safer login
You can adjust these permissions in your phone’s settings under Apps > Xplora > Permissions.
💡 For the best performance, allow the app to run and update in the background — this helps you receive notifications in real time, even when you're not actively using the app.
