A factory reset erases all data from your device and restores it to its original state. This can be helpful when troubleshooting issues, selling your device, or when you simply no longer need it.
Before you start:
💡Make sure you’ve backed up any important data — everything will be deleted during the reset process.
⚠️ Make sure the device has stable internet connection, so any changes show up correctly in your app and on our servers.
Important information for eSIM users
This guide applies to:

Users of Xplora watches with a nano SIM-card
- Users of Xplora eSIM watches who want to reset the device together with the eSIM profile, for example, when changing eSIM providers.

Users of the HMD Fusion X1 smartphone
⌚ If you wish to keep your eSIM profile on your Xplora watch:
- ❌ Do not factory reset the watch through the app!
- ✅Instead, please contact our customer support so we can reset the device without deleting your eSIM profile. This will allow you to continue using the same eSIM after the reset.
📱A factory reset on HMD phones does not remove the eSIM. You can proceed with the reset as usual. To delete the eSIM, follow the instructions here.

After the factory reset
After the reset, the device will reboot and return to its original factory settings. It will no longer be linked to your account.
To use the device again, you’ll need to set it up from scratch by pairing it with your account as if it were a new device.
If you are resetting an eSIM watch, the eSIM profile will also be deleted. You will need to obtain a new eSIM from your provider to activate the watch again.
