At Xplora, we believe in encouraging kids to be active. That’s why we’ve made it fun and rewarding for kids to get moving! For every 1,000 steps they take, they earn 1 Xplora Coin.
With Xplora Coins, kids can unlock exciting rewards and activities on the Activity platform where they can use their coins to explore a variety of adventures, games, and both entertaining and educational activities!
Did you know?
🚶♂️ Xplora users walk more than 1 billion steps every week – that’s enough to walk around the world once! On average, Xplora kids walk 2,500 more steps than others each day. Pretty impressive, right?
How Xplora devices track steps
Xplora watches count steps using a built-in accelerometer, a sensor that detects movement and direction. When your child walks or runs, the accelerometer picks up the repeated, rhythmic motion and counts it as steps. The step data is then saved on the watch and displayed in the Xplora app.
💡 Small variations in step count are normal and can depend on how the watch is worn and how your child moves.
How to keep track of steps
Kids can easily check their daily activity on their Xplora watch or on the Xplora Teens app (for HMD Fusion X1 users). Parents can also track their child’s progress through the Xplora app: |
💡 In addition to kids collecting steps and earning coins, parents can do the same! The step data can be viewed under the Guardian’s profile, along with a comparison of all family members.
It is a fun way to challenge each other and stay motivated as a family!
How do the steps sync with the app?
The watch displays steps in real-time, keeping kids engaged and excited to reach new goals.
Please note that there may be a delay of up to 24 hours for steps to sync with the app. To ensure that the steps data is transfered correctly to the app, make sure that device and the Xplora app are up to date, and synchronised via internet connection.
If you’re experiencing syncing issues, try restarting the watch and swiping down from the top to refresh the app, as this often triggers an update.
If you continue experiencing issues, please let us know the following:
- Take photos of the steps displayed on the watch for each day the data doesn't match
- Provide screenshots of the steps displayed in the app for each day the data doesn't match
- Send the IMEI number of the watch
How to recover lost steps?
If you’ve recently changed your device, or lost your steps after performing a factory reset, don’t worry! We can help transfer your steps back for you.
Simply contact our customer support team with the following information:
- IMEI number(s) of the watch(es) between which the steps need to be transfered.
- If applicable, include the amount of steps visible in the app before the reset or before receiving a replacement watch.
Once we receive this information, our team will assist you in transferring your steps back.
⚠️ Step data resets every year, so you can start each year with fresh numbers and new challenges!
