Roaming with your Xplora SIM-card
The Xplora SIM-card has roaming enabled automatically as soon as your subscription is active, so you can stay connected while traveling.
Using a different provider?
If you’re using a SIM card from a different provider, it’s a good idea to double-check with them to ensure that data roaming is included in your plan. Some providers may require additional activation or charge extra for roaming services.
How to enable roaming on your watch
To make sure your Xplora watch has access to mobile data while you’re roaming, it’s essential to enable data roaming. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Settings on your watch.
- XGO2 users: Click on More settings.
- Tap on Connections or Data Roaming.
- Ensure Data Roaming is enabled by turning the toggle to ON.
Tips for better connectivity
If your watch doesn’t connect to a local network right away, here are some helpful tips:
🔄 Restart your watch: Power off and back on after you’ve arrived at your destination. This gives your device the best chance to find a stable network.
🏡 Step outside: Sometimes, coverage is better outdoors than inside buildings, so try restarting your watch outside to improve signal strength.
