How do the calls work?

Xplora watches have been designed to facilitate communication between children and their closest ones. With their watch, children can make and receive calls from all the contacts that have been previously approved by their parents.

Who can call the watch?

Parents can add up to 50 contacts to the watch's contacts list, all of whom can make and receive calls to and from the watch. This ensures that the child's communication is limited to known and trusted individuals.

Phone numbers that are not stored in the watch's contacts list cannot reach the child's watch and won't receive calls from the watch. Guardians will still receive a message on their app notifying them about the call.

How do the calls work?

To make a call, children can open the 'Phone' feature in their watch's menu and select the contact they wish to call. It is possible to add a photo for each contact, helping the child easily identify the person they are calling.

Guardians and approved contacts can call the watch through their app or, just like with regular calls, by dialling the watch's phone number directly from their smartphone.

Call Notifications:

If a call is not answered, you will receive a notification about the call on your phone.

Traditional calls and Volte:

Calls can be established using traditional voice minutes or Voice over LTE (Volte) technology. With Volte, the call quality is often improved, providing clearer and more reliable communication.

If the watch is connected to a 4G network and the call can be placed with the Volte technology, you will notice an "HD" icon appearing on the watch's screen.
